What to Expect

Real-time information signs on Ft. Duquesne Blvd. in the Cultural District will direct drivers to the closest available parking. Signs will be placed ahead of the intersections with 6th, 7th and 9th Streets and will display how many spaces are available to drivers at garages on those streets.  If no spaces are available, drivers will be directed to the next closest open garage.

The real-time parking signage is based on the ParkPGH system. Drivers are encouraged to continue to use ParkPGH to find open parking spaces throughout Downtown Pittsburgh.

When to Expect It

The system will be active for First Night on December 31st. Given the experimental nature of the system, it will be re-deployed throughout January and February based on anticipated high parking demand in the Cultural District. If the initial demonstration proves successful, a more permanent installation is anticipated.

Tell Us What You Think!

Drivers are encouraged to provide feedback via email at info@envisiondowntown.org or tweet comments to @envisiondwntwn . Updates to the system will be made continuously based on user experiances.
